Introduction Blog Post MUS 200 (Sally Peters)

Hi everyone! My name is Sally Peters and I live in Bethel. I am a dual enrolled high school student taking this class through the ANSEP Acceleration Academy. Something very important to me is Cross Country running. I have been running for a long time and I love running with my team or with my dad. I also really enjoy reading and painting. I have spent a lot of time in Ireland with my moms family and went to school there during Covid. I am taking this class to finish up getting all of my high school credits while also counting towards my Associates. I am excited for the rest of this class and to keep learning and listening to music!

I listen to music when I am doing pretty much everything, cooking, getting ready in the mornings, reading, painting, cleaning, driving, I am even listening to music right now as I’m writing this post. The song that I am listening to is “Petals on the Moon” by Wasia Project. The only time that I do not really like to listen to music is when I am running. People seem to find this strange but I love having that time to focus and have to myself. I think that my taste in music would be mostly indie folk and pop. My favorite band is Rainbow Kitten Surprise and my favorite artist is Olivia Rodrigo. I have never been to a concert but I am really eager to go to one!

A song that I really enjoy is “Us” by Regina Spektor. It is probably one of my favorite songs ever. I linked it below.

Thanks for reading my introduction blog!

A photo that I find appealing is this photo from when I was running in Juneau this past summer

  1. Ireland! I'm jealous!! It was good to hear Regina Spektor again. I listened to her music back when Orange is the New Black was airing.
